HYPNOTHERAPY TO REMOVE LIMITATIONS

 

Hypnosis is not magic or the occult, it is a natural, normal state of mind that you can use to instruct and direct your unconscious mind and body.  We all carry around the abilities to reduce stress, control pain, conquer fears, overcome allergies and alter unwanted habits.

 

One of our clients, let’s call her Jean, Jean is thirty-two years old and works in a clothes shop in York.  Ever since the birth of her son ten years ago, she has had weight problems.  She had been on continual diets ever since, she hated the way she looked.  Her doctor had urged her to lose weight for the sake of her health.  The final straw came when she overheard two customers in the shop where she worked comment about her size.

 

She began her hypnotherapy with the motivation to change her eating and exercising patterns, with the intention to decrease the former and increase the latter.

 

Jean did alter her perception and desire for food, she used the posthypnotic suggestions we structured to resist excessive eating and to encourage her to exercise.  Jean lost 4 stones in 8 months!  But even more important, three years later, the excess weight is still off.  Jean is still exercising regularly and loves the way she looks and feels.

Self-hypnosis at So’ Studio Hypnotherapy clinic teaches you to use in-between sessions as a skill.  Just like throwing a ball, it is a skill that nearly all of us can do naturally.  With practice and instruction, you can not only throw the ball aimlessly, you can throw it and hit a target.

 

You may have one or more goals in mind to work on with hypnotherapy.  Firstly, at So’ Studio Hypnotherapy Clinic we teach you to become experienced with the techniques for entering into hypnosis.  It is while in this relaxed state of mind that the drawbridge is down for suggestions to enter into your subconscious mind.

 

Some people learn to enter self-hypnosis quickly, whilst others take more time.  How quickly or slowly you learn has little to do with how effective it will be for you once you have mastered it.

 

If you are experiencing pain or have some other immediate use for self-hypnosis, you may be tempted to jump right into work on that goal.  However, we recommend you wait until you understand the techniques we teach you then feel free to start blending suggestions for the specific change you seek.

 

What you learn from hypnotherapy is a way to redirect your internal resources to achieve your goals.  You can make yourself more capable after receiving hypnotherapy.  Most of us use only a fraction of our potential, even the brightest people may use only a tenth of their natural capacity.  The natural mental potential you were born with is waited to be tapped.
